Oil Spill Response Alliance for the Mediterranean is backed by a professional team, who hail from, and who are based in the Mediterranean. They know the region well, and because the Mediterranean is their sea, and their heritage, they have a natural interest in its conservation. Through their experienced staff, vessels, oil spill response equipment, and other resources, they have a high capability to respond to any small to large oil spill in the region. They collaborate on an operational level and are located in strategic ports around the Mediterranean.

The members of Oil Spill Response Alliance for the Mediterranean are determined to forge alliances with all coastal state authorities; oil companies, ship owners and industry associations operating in the region as well as with similar oil spill response organisations who are based even outside the Mediterranean.
