Recruitment and Training for the oil industry were amongst the first activities of the company. AOST trained most oilfield personnel for Schlumberger (Libya) and ADWOC as far back as the early '90s, when personnel training was the core business of the Company. Most other Companies operating in Libya and Tunisia, nominated oilfield personnel to attend training courses held in Malta by AOST. The Company has even organised training in desert locations in Libya.
Highly qualified and experienced Lecturers and Instructors deliver courses in a wide variety of subjects to personnel of different disciplines. These consultants are mostly of US, British, Italian and Maltese nationality.
AOST has specialised in the development of courses in oil exploration drilling and production; gas hazards; health and safety; marine oil pollution; remote sensing and oil trading and bunkering. The Company is currently expanding its training programme to include courses for the maritime industry in accordance with the requirements of the I.M.O. STCW Convention.
Course material has been developed by AOST consultants to international standards, and is continuously updated to reflect industry changes and requirements. All courses have been designed in modular form and this enables us to adapt and customise any of our courses to Client's specific requirements.
