Science and Engineering Applications

Thermal imaging, also called thermography, is the production of infrared or "heat" pictures by utilising an infrared camera. Based on these thermal images, accurate temperature measurements can be made to detect even the smallest temperature differences.

Because of its non-destructive analysis capacities, thermography systems are an important instrument in a wide variety of Scientific and Engineering (R&D) applications.

Every day, numerous researchers, active either in product development, applied or fundamental research, have discovered that infrared is a reliable and quick non destructive method to help them in their work. Infrared thermography has proven to be an invaluable tool to solve a wide range of scientific question and problems.

Thermal imaging is used extensively in the following sectors and industries:
   · Material stress analysis
   · Fundamental and applied research in universities
   · Design, manufacture and maintenance of Circuit Boards
   · Food production
   · Pharmaceutical industry
   · Medical assessment and diagnosis
   · Veterinary clinics
